Despite the doom mongers in the media trying to talk down the property market, we're seeing distinct interest on our site, as well as record stock (over 5000 available properties). With low inflation figures pointing to interest rates remaining on hold (perhaps all year) the outlook is good.

We should all look forward to a great year in 2007, even if the price rises of 2006 will not be matched, we should be in positive territory 'everything else remaining equal' (as the Economists' say).

It has been almost 4 years since our aussiehome.com went through what was its 5th redesign. This design has held us in good stead, but it is now time to take it to the next level.

A revolutionary design will be brought out in February, which we believe will deliver further growth to our web site traffic, utilising the latest in search engine and navigation technology.

As we build the new site, we are also looking to add more 'fields' to its global database.

It lists all your contact details, photo and all your current listings, as well as a few paragraphs about you (you can enter/edit this at any time).

To make it easier to find this page, all you now need to do is enter www.aussiehome.com/your-name into your web browser, substituting your first name and second name after the '/' separated by a dash.

For those clients who feed properties for REIWA, remember there is also an easy to use facility to feed your SOLD prices to the Institute for purposes of the ILS Awards.

We have worked hard with REIWA to make this system syncronise accurately with their system, and we know the importance this service has to many of our clients because:

1. Valuable resource for ALL REIWA members to use
2. Data is not made available to other members until the contract is unconditional
3. Other organisations will try to sell it back to you, REIWA provides it for free
4. The government has warned that unless the data is accurate from one provider, they may insist on data collection themselves, which will incur a cost to all real estate agencies.
