IPO latest

aussiehome.com newsSome of you saw our mention in last week's papers (including Sydney Morning Herald) regarding a well known Perth investor who had been sent our 'prospectus'.

In fact, the prospectus is being prepared, and that story related to an Information Memorandum sent out in January. Things are falling into place for what we feel will be a very well timed listing - in fact, (here's the teaser) there'll be a name change.

All will be revealed in due course, and we are planning this to be as inclusive as possible for our clients; providing ample opportunity for you to be informed and to participate. Thank you for all the calls of support and interest so far.

Info sessions in your office

Anita FioriniAs many a management guru will tell you, 'the secret' of business lies in the ability to clearly, consistently and effectively communicate with clients (be they potential or past vendors, current clients, landlords...). The same goes for our business; and we can never do enough to show you what we are up to, and hear your views.

Our Client Liaison Officer, Anita Fiorini, is systemmatically contacting offices setting up times for her (together with Phil or Charlie) to meet you at your sales meetings to explain some of the services we offer - from web site designs and upgrades, through to graphic design, property of the week and agent suburb ads and more - and answer any questions, take suggestions ...

We look forward to seeing you in person - should you want to book us in, please EMAIL ANITA to do this

Hot Property!

Hot PropertyIn a recent address, Lord Mayor Peter Nattrass mentioned "2000 people move to Perth city a week to live". If this is true, it beats other statistics we've heard that put this number at 800 or 1000. Either way, inbound settlers need real estate, and this demand continues to fuel the property market.

Some analysts now have stopped talking about the resources boom as a "boom" at all, but now describe it as a "structural readjustment" (for this read "permanent change to a new level"). In other words, you think WA never had it so good? Get used to it. Massive projects being turned on up north could not be turned off even if you wanted them to be. China and Japan (and then India) will take as much of WA's resources as we can deliver over the next 20 years.

Taking this longer term view, real estate could be viewed as great value, and it could be on everyone's 'buy' list. Get ready for another strong buying season in the traditional high point of the year - October to December.

Top Cat

Gareth Andrews celebrating winning the flagWe were probably slightly biassed in watching the Grand Final on Saturday - Gareth Andrews (seen here celebrating the win with skipper Tom Harley) has been an aussiehome.com client since 2001 (www.andrewscorp.com.au).

Gareth is Vice President of the Geelong Football Club, and played 136 games for the Cats as well as 31 for Richmond (including a premiership in 1974). Good on yer Gareth!

Have a great OCTOBER- anything you need, please do not hesitate to contact us on (08) 9389 5833

property ID:
UNDER OFFER Date

We added 'Under Offer' date (= date O+A was signed) to our system a few weeks ago, so now you can accurately record Under Offer property dates and have this be recognised for the REIWA Awards - see our Client Zone login menu for the full details on how to use this new feature.

Faster Site

aussiehome just got even fasterAfter maintenance and further upgrade work to the main aussiehome servers over the weekend, you should notice the main site, and Client Zone responding even faster. Search results, and page loading time is down considerably - as we strive to be the cleanest, coolest and fastest property site out there. Do check out aussiehome.com for yourself.

Interest Rates - 50/50 to rise?

Interest Rates ... whereto? With the Aussie dollar at a 18 year high against the US Dollar (89 cents), some economists might not be tipping an Australian interest rate rise  tomorrow (which could feed a Aus$ value well into the nineties); however, as the RBA sits today to ponder, they are also faced with strong domestic demand and fears of future inflation if they do nothing. Which factor will outweigh the other? We will find out the RBA's decision tomorrow. Our guess - STAY ON HOLD.

Web Site of the month - BigUdder.co.uk!

BigUdder.co.ukBored of the same old reality show trash? Well, the UK has the answer in 'Big Udder' (www.bigudder.co.uk), a 24 hour a day live feed from a dairy farm in the West of England, complete with the 'Dairy Room' and nominations. Say the organisers: "our show will feature a more intelligent line-up than Big Brother"! We think they are just milking the genre - it's udderly ridiculous.
