We can't believe it is the end of October!.
Christmas is just around the corner and like us we bet you all can't wait!. Anyone wishing to advertise their Christmas Shut Down periods let us know. Our first networking function was huge hit with over 100 members and guests joining us to celebrate our new office opening. What started as a Beer and BBQ, turned into a mini Trade Show! and we have had some fantastic feedback from those in attendance. New Building Standards for Bushfires Australian Standard AS 3959-2009 Construction of Buildings in bushfire-prone areas will apply to building applications made after 1 October 2009. This is a new revised standard with full information available from clicking the link below. For access to Standard Click here. Course approved for the new solar and heat pump hot water system installation endorsement. A plumber or provisional plumber can apply to the board from a SHP installation endorsement on the plumber's licence, to install, commission, test and maintain SHP's. To obtain SHP Endorsement, a licensee must have successfully completed a course approved by the board. Plumbers and provisional plumbers have until 31 December 2010 to obtain the endorsement... Regulatory Impact Statement for Mandatory Load Control of Pool Filtration Systems. To assist in reducing high energy use in peak demand times the Queensland Government proposes to require pool filtration system in new pools ancillary to class 1a buildings, to be demand response active....
