A review of the operation and effectiveness of the Working with Children (WWC) Act is currently underway.

If you would like to contribute to the review, public submissions are being accepted by the independent State Government Officer, until Wednesday 29 February 2012. MORE INFORMATION

Course - Certificate in Governance

Chartered Secretaries Australia (CSA) is holding a Certificate in Governance for Not-for-Profits (Intensive) course from Wednesday 29 February to Friday 2 March 2012.

Community Volunteer Grants

As part of the Sport 4 All initiative, community volunteer grants of up to $2,000 are available for incorporated not-for-profit sport and active recreation clubs. Grants are for the purpose of assisting clubs to recruit, retain or train volunteers.

Lotterywest Trail Grants

Lotterywest, in partnership with the Department of Sport and Recreation, is offering grants to help eligible organisations plan or construct a new trail, or upgrade and or promote an existing trail.


Applications for grants over $15,000 close on Friday 16 March 2012 and applications for under this amount can be lodged anytime.

Local Sporting Champions Program Grants

The Local Sporting Champions program provides financial assistance for young people, aged 12-18, who are competing, coaching or officiating at a state or national sporting championship that is endorsed by a national sporting organisation.

Healthy Club Grants

Sports Medicine Australia (SMA), in partnership with Healthway, is offering grants of up to $3,000 for incorporated clubs. To be eligible, clubs need to be playing in a recognised sporting competition over the 2012 winter season with the aim to make their clubs safer and healthier, as well as providing training and education opportunities.
