WA Sports Federation News

General Meeting:

Thank you to all Members who attended the WA Sports Federation General Meeting on Tuesday 23 March, especially given the unusual weather conditions during the week.  We hope all WA Sports Federation Members, family and friends got through the storm with minimal damage.

A number of presentations were delivered at the meeting from guest speakers, providing an overview of initiatives/projects within the sport and active recreation industry.  This provided the opportunity for Members to get involved and ask questions and contribute to discussion.

Welcome:

WA Sports Federation would like to welcome Jacqui Gordon, who started in the Administration Manager role during March.  Jacqui can be contacted at the office on 9387 8100 or via email JacquiGordon@wasportsfed.asn.au.  For more information about Jacqui or other WA Sports Federation staff or Board members click here.

Crawford Report - Consultation

As you are aware, The Independent Sport Panel released the Crawford Report during 2009, making recommendations for the future of Australian sport.  This Report was released after consultation across Australia.

The Crawford Report is currently being reviewed by State and Federal Governments and WA Sports Federation encourages State Sporting Associations to have conversations with their National Body about the Report and its adoption.

For more information about the Crawford Report click here.
