WA Sports Federation News

WA Sports Federation General Meeting -  WA Sports Federation held a General Meeting on Tuesday 31 March, with over fifty people in attendance.  This was a great opportunity for Members to listen to a range of industry relevant presentations, network with other Members and discuss relevant industry matters.

All Members should now have received the minutes from the meeting.  The next General Meeting will be held in August.  If you require any further information please contact Jo O'Beirne, Administration Manager, joobeirne@wasportsfed.asn.au

Healthway - David Malone, CEO of Healthway, attended WA Sports Federations April Board Meeting to discuss Healthway's direction and priorities.  The presentation provided the Board with the opportunity to raise issues and ask questions.  As a result, WA Sports Federation will be shortly organising an opportunity for WA Sports Federation Members to meet and receive David's presentation and ask questions.

Independent Review Panel - Mike Allenby, Chair of WA Sports Federation and Rob Thompson, CEO, had the opportunity to meet with Colin Carter who is a member of the Independent Sport Review Panel.  This meeting enabled WA Sports Federation to highlight priorities and raise key items affecting and influencing the sport and recreation industry.

This meeting was followed by the Perth Public Forum that was attended by approximately thirty people.  A range of issues were raised and discussed in line with the five terms of reference of the review.  The conclusions of the review will be released later in the year.  For more information visit www.sportpanel.org.au
