Did you know that during the busy summer season, blood donations often decline due to people taking vacations, while the need for blood actually increases?
To help prevent this, Fox Plaza is sponsoring a Blood Drive on Thursday, August 26 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. in our Conference Center, Suite 160.
Here are some great reasons to donate blood: - Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood.
- More than 38,000 blood donations are needed each day.
- Just one blood donation can help save up to three lives.
To make a life-saving appointment, please call (310) 825-0888 x2 or email gotblood@ucla.edu. All donors will receive a free AMC Movie Ticket! Please remember to EAT WELL and INCREASE your FLUID INTAKE the day of your donation. For more information, please visit www.gotblood.ucla.edu. |

| Team Member Spotlight: Ezequiel Campos |
Ezequiel "Cheque" Campos has been a parking valet at Fox Plaza for the past 22 years. He once received a special recognition from the United States Secret Service for his work with Ronald Reagan, when he had an office at Fox Plaza.
Cheque has seen many celebrities during his time here, but was only starstruck one time in his life. "I saw Mother Theresa when she came to visit Ronald Reagan," he said. "She said 'hi' to me."
If you're wondering if Mother Theresa valet parked, Cheque had this to say, "She didn't valet park. Someone dropped her off at the curb and she just walked right in."
Cheque is married and has three boys. In his free time he loves to BBQ with his family and enjoys soccer. |
