Proposed boundaries

Proposed electoral boundaries have been released by the Electoral Distribution Commissioners.

Proposed Boundaries

Interested persons now have until 30 July 2007 to lodge their objections with the Electoral Distribution Commissioners.

Objections

Please note that to ensure an open process, ALL written objections will be made publicly available on the Office of the Electoral Distribution Commissioners web site and at the premises of the Office of the Electoral Distribution Commissioners and the Western Australian Electoral Commission after the closing date for lodgement.

Final boundaries

After considering any objections, the Commissioners will publish their final determinations regarding the division of the State into electoral regions and districts. The final boundaries will be published on Monday, 30 July 2007 in the Government Gazette and the following Saturday edition of The West Australian.

The Commissioners' decision is final and there is no further review or right of appeal. These boundaries will apply for the next State general election, due in 2009.
