The Electoral Distribution Commissioners recently announced that the 2007 Electoral Distribution was to commence on Wednesday
4 April 2007. This started a seven-month process to determine the placement of new electoral boundaries, which will take effect from the next State general election, due in 2009.

The closing date for the lodgement of written suggestions is
5.00 pm, Friday 4 May 2007. Copies of the written suggestions will be available on the web site after this date.

What has changed since the last distribution?

There have been a number of legislative changes since the last distribution. The impact of these changes is discussed in the Where will you be in 2009? brochure.
